Memories

< There is something so sentimental about going back in time.Looking at the pictures of my old house brings back so many goodtimes.The holidays there were just awesome.We had a real tree every year and I can remember we would leave it up as long as we could and the pine neddles were a mess to clean up.I can remember every room in that house and the church.   I was singing in the choir every sunday and during the week we would sneak over and play the piano and organ or just find solitude awhile alone with God.My favorite place to sit was on the church steps outside right where my husband took the picture.I would sit there for hours alone finding my solitude.We had five kids there at all times and that was hard to find.   I have been running over in my mind memories of my family in the house.We had a lot of goodtimes in that house and at that church.The fireplace sure did make the house cozy on the long winter months.We would watch the snow pile up outside and listen to the radio call school off.Then my sisters and I would go curl up on our parents bed and watch Don HO.I guess the show being in Hawaii made us warmer who knows.   The fun times we had squeezeing into my sister's boyfriends car and he taking us all riding down the mountain near his house on sleds.My sister Dawn and I were the youngest and we got to reap the benefits of the older ones boyfriends a lot.My parents required caperones and Dawn and I loved that.Except of course, when we started dating and had to go with one another!!(LOL)   My Mother passed several years ago.My Dad is living with the sisters back and forth right now.Seeing the house was wonderful again.Although it and the church is in dire need of repairs it contains memories so precious...
